The Bike Patrol
handles a variety of calls and but is primarily responsible for Community
Policing. Members of the unit patrol the town beaches, parks, open space,
business and other problem areas as well as areas inaccessible to police cars.
The Bike Patrol members are all
IPMBA
certified Police Cyclists and ride either Cannondale or Mercedes Benz bicycles.
