The Fairfield Police Bicycle Unit’s responsibility is to assist with Patrol and other Community related functions. The Bicycle Unit is assigned to the Patrol Division and is comprised of officers who have received advanced training in bicycle patrol and safety techniques. Bike Unit members all hold IPMBA or similar certifications and ride either Cannondale, Haro, Trek or Fuji bicycles. The Unit also deploys a number of electronic patrol bicycles.
