Officer Nicholas Ardizzone has been a member of the Fairfield Police Department since 2021. Officer Ardizzone was a sworn Police Officer in the State of Connecticut since 2013 and brings years of knowledge and experience with him. Officer Ardizzone comes from a large family, grew up in Shelton CT, graduated from Shelton High School and holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Phoenix.

Officer Ardizzone is currently assigned to the Special Services Division as a member of the Traffic Safety Unit. Officer Ardizzone was certified as a Field Training Officer prior to coming to Fairfield, was selected as a Field Training Officer in 2021 and certified as a Police Motorcycle Officer for the Fairfield Motorcycle Unit.

During Officer Ardizzones time as a Police Officer, he has also taken an interest in crash investigations and was a member of the Accident Reconstruction Team at a previous agency.

In 2022, Officer Ardizzone became a K9 Handler and is currently handling K9 Bolt, a 2 year old German Shepherd who is certified as a dual purpose K9 in patrol and narcotics detection.
