With the 2014 holiday season fast approaching, the Fairfield Police Department and Connecticut’s other law enforcement agencies intend to promote safe driving and increase the protection of all motorists. Law enforcement officials are out on the road enforcing the State occupant protection laws and issuing citations to those who are unbuckled.
The “Click it or Ticket” campaign will be a one week period of high visibility seatbelt enforcement, both day and night, beginning November 25th through November 30th, 2014.

On November 19, 2014, the Fairfield Police Department was notified by the Norwalk Police Department of suspicious packages found at the FedEx facility in their town. The packages were addressed to an address in the Southport section of Fairfield. Fairfield Police Officer Wells, K9 Ruger and Fairfield Detectives responded to the FedEx facility to assist in the investigation. K9 Ruger altered on the package which later was later found to contain a large amount of marijuana.

On 11/21/2014, at approximately 2:15pm, the residents of a home on Kings Drive in Southport returned home, noticed damage to their door, saw a burglar inside their house and immediately dialed 911.
As a large contingent of officers responded to the area, the residents of the home provided prompt, specific and very accurate information to police to include the burglars description, the type of vehicle he was driving, along with its registration plate, and his direction of flight.

On October 6, 2014 at approximately 12:00pm the subjects pictured below entered Stop and Shop on Villa Ave, Fairfield. The two filled a shopping cart with more than $700.00 in merchandise to include razors and Nyquil, and exited the store without paying for anything. When approached by store security they fled in grey pickup truck, believed to be a Chevy Silverado.

On October 18, 2014 at approximately 10:40 am a Fairfield resident was approached by two males while walking on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. The males who spoke with an Ecuadorian accent, threatened the victim, told him that they knew where he worked and demanded that he go to his bank and withdraw all of his money. The victim walked to the Bank of America branch located at 1320 Kings Hwy Cutoff, Fairfield, while being followed by the subject depicted in these surveillance images, where he withdrew $800.00 in cash. The victim then turned the money over to the two males.

On 10/27/2014, a resident of Mill Hill Rd. Fairfield, CT reported to the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau that her home was burglarized by a neighbor.
The resident stated over the past month, she and her husband noticed that prescription pills were vanishing from a cabinet in their kitchen. They decided to install a surveillance camera and on 10/27/2014 at approximately 9:50am, the neighbor was observed entering the home when no one was home. The neighbor walked right to the kitchen cabinet, opened the prescription bottle, and removed some of the pills before leaving the home. The resident checked the bottle and noticed that 6 capsules were tampered with.

On 10/24/14 the Fairfield Police received a report that a juvenile was approached by a stranger in a vehicle while in the parking lot of Rite Aid, 1619 Post Rd. The incident was reported a significant time after it occurred, however, the investigation determined the following details:
