Burglary Arrest, Riverside Dr & South Benson Rd

On 01/11/2020, Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Riverside Drive Fairfield, for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that his vehicle, a white, Subaru Crosstrek was stolen from his driveway. This vehicle was left unlocked and the keys were left inside of the vehicle along with keys to the residence.

On 1/16/2020 at 8:42am, Patrol Officers responded to the same residence in the 700 block of Riverside Drive for a report of a burglary of a residence and a stolen vehicle. The victim reported that she and her husband awoke to find their residence’s first floor ransacked and their vehicle stolen.

On 01/18/2020 at 02:56 am, Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of S. Benson Road, for a report of a burglary in progress to an occupied residence. Note that this residence is within a quarter mile of the 700 block of Riverside Drive.

On 01/20/2020, Alberto Rosado, DOB 07/15/1989, of Brewster Street, Bridgeport, was arrested and charged with: Burglary 1^st Degree, Larceny 3^rd Degree, Burglary 3^rd Degree, Larceny 6^th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Larceny 1^st Degree, Larceny 6^th Degree, Engaging Police in Pursuit, Reckless Driving, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a License. These charges were related to the S. Benson Road burglary.

An extensive investigation by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau led to the identity of three other co-conspirators who were involved with the thefts and burglaries. Jose Valentin Sr. (DOB: 08/10/77), Jose Valentin Jr. (DOB: 01/28/94), and Jonathon Valentin (DOB: 12/02/96) were all taken into custody and charged with offenses related to these incidents.

Jose Valentin Sr. (DOB: 08/10/77), of Myrtle Avenue Bridgeport, was arrested and charged on 01/27/2020 with Burglary 1st Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 1st Degree, Larceny 3rd Degree; and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3rd Degree. He was held on $75,000. Court set bond and scheduled for court on February 10, 2020.

Jose Valentin Jr. (DOB: 01/28/94) of Myrtle Ave. Bridgeport, was arrested and charged on 01/27/2020 with Burglary 1st Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 1st Degree, Larceny 3rd Degree; and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3rd Degree. He was held on $75,000. Court set bond and scheduled for court on February 10, 2020.

Jonathon Valentin (DOB: 12/02/96) of Oakwood Street Bridgeport, was arrested and charged on 01/28/2020 with Burglary 1st Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 1st Degree, Larceny 3rd Degree; and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3rd Degree. He was held on $75,000. Court set bond and scheduled for court on February 05, 2020.
