Former Security Guard Arrested Following Altercation at Lantern Point

FAIRFIELD – James Laramee (DOB 09/15/1993) of Stamford was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Breach of Peace Second Degree, after he spit in the face of an individual and was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

On 04/25/21 at approximately 7:23pm, the complainant, who is an employee working for a security company tasked with monitoring the safety of Lantern Point residents called police to report James Laramee, a former employee of the same security company was refusing to leave Lantern Point when asked by the complainant. The complainant reported Laramee spit in their face and appeared intoxicated. Laramee then entered a vehicle and fled the scene North bound on Reef Road.

Officers located Laramee operating his vehicle a short distance away. After a police investigation, Laramee was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Breach of Peace Second Degree.

Laramee was released after posting $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on 5/7/21.
