Suspect Arrested Attempting to Cash Fraudulent Checks

FAIRFIELD — On 3/15/2021, Harold Harding (28) was arrested and charged with two counts of Forgery 2nd Degree after police responded to a local Black Rock Turnpike bank where Harding was attempting to cash a counterfeit check in the amount of $850.00.  During the police investigation, police discovered Harding was in possession of a second counterfeit check made out to him in the amount of $820.00.  The checks were determined to be fraudulent after bank employees and police observed printing discrepancies on the checks.
