Suspected Impaired Driver Causes Crash, Arrested After Giving False Name

FAIRFIELD – On Wednesday 03/17/21 at 11:09AM, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Stratfield Road at Bond Street. The operator of the striking vehicle, identified as Amy Plotkin, was suspected by officers at the scene of operating her vehicle while under the influence. Plotkin also gave officers at the scene a fictitious name. When arrested, officers discovered a prescription bottle not belonging to Plotkin in her possession. The bottle also contained two different types medications.

Amy Plotkin of Fairfield CT, was arrested and charged with Passing on the Right, Driving with a Suspended License, DUI, Interfering, Criminal Impersonation, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Failure to Keep Prescription Drugs in Original Container.

Amy Plotkin was released after posting 10% ($1,000) of a $10,000 bond, in accordance with bail reform law, and is scheduled to appear in court on 04/26/21.
