FAIRFIELD – On 4/21/21 at approximately 1:00am Fairfield Police received a call from a resident of Linley Drive reporting her car was just entered by 3 males wearing hooded sweatshirts. Patrols and a K-9 officer responded to the area and located three males hiding a short distance away in a backyard on Melville Avenue. Two of the three suspects were taken into custody without incident while the third fled. Isaiah Valentin (18) was identified as one of the two suspects. The other is a juvenile (16). A nearby homeowner provided access to their Ring doorbell camera. On the video, officers observed Valentin walk up to a vehicle and attempt to enter the passenger door.
Valentin was transported to Police Headquarters and processed on charges of:
- Burglary 2nd Degree
- Criminal Attempt of Larceny 6th Degree
- Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.
Valentin was released on a written promise to appear with a scheduled court date of 5/5/21.
The juvenile was turned over to a legal guardian and issued a summons to Juvenile Court for
- Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6th
- Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 2nd
- Criminal Trespass 3rd
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
