The Fairfield Police Department is investigating two robberies that occurred at CVS Pharmacy, 1968 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, on 06/24/2016 and yesterday 10/09/2016.
In both cases a white male entered the CVS and went to the pharmacy counter where he made threats that “people will be hurt” to the Pharmacy Technician if he does not comply with his request. In both cases the Pharmacy Technician complies, and the suspect fled the scene with approximately 1,000 OxyContin tablets, for a total of approximately 2,000 tablets, and a street value of nearly $20,000.
OxyContin (oxycodone) is a narcotic analgesic that is used to reduce pain. It is a controlled substance, and its high content of oxycodone makes it popular on the street.
The suspect is described as a white male, average height, average build, wearing a baseball style cap and gloves. In the first incident he was carrying a backpack, and the second incident he was carrying an umbrella.
Anyone with information regarding the robberies or the suspect pictured, is asked to call the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at (203)254-4840, or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637)
