Misappropriation of Funds leads to Larceny Arrest, 2/4/2020

On February 4, 2020, Scott R. Bartlett (DOB 01/11/1962) was arrested and charged with Larceny 1st Degree (53a-122) and two (2) counts of Larceny 2nd Degree (53a-123) following an extensive investigation conducted by the Fairfield Police Department Detective Bureau.

This investigation focused on Bartlett’s illegal use and misappropriation of funds from the bank account of a mentally challenged individual whom Bartlett had conservatorship over.  Investigators developed probable cause to believe that Bartlett misused this account by co-mingling funds and making illegal withdrawals for his own personal use.

Bartlett turned himself in to the Fairfield Police Department and was released on a $35,000 bond with a pending court date of 02/10/2020.

This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney in Rocky Hill, CT.
