Current storm projections for Tropical Storm Hermine indicate that the wind and rain associated with this event will be less than yesterday’s predictions.
The most severe impact may be in the form of local flooding.
The most dangerous times for this storm will be during high tides, at 2:00 AM on Monday morning and 2:00 PM on Monday afternoon.
We are asking residents in the beach area, south of Edward Street, to move their cars to hire ground as a precaution if the storm shifts during the night.
This is a slow moving storm and may affect our community over the next several days.
Please continue to monitor local news outlets and be prepared to react should the storm change direction.
We are not planning to release further code red messages at this time unless there is a significant change in this storm.
Thank you for listening and please stay prepared, and stay safe.
