Officer of the Quarter: January 15, 2022 – April 14, 2022



On January 12, 2022, Officer Daniel Loris was recognized during the Board of Police Commissioners meeting as the next Officer of the Quarter!

On December 7, 2021, all the Lieutenants and Sergeants of the Patrol Division, met and after careful deliberation, unanimously selected Officer Daniel Loris as Officer of the Quarter (OOQ) for the period of January 15, 2022 to April 14, 2022.

Officer Loris is described by his supervisors as having an outstanding professional demeanor that is highly service orientated. Additionally, he is highly dependable, has a “team before self” attitude, possesses a positive and efficient work ethic and strong investigative skills. Officer Loris is proficient in arrest and booking procedures and is consistently attentive to detail.  He exhibits a strong sense of compassion toward the community and has a willingness to volunteer on an independent basis.  Officer Loris consistently participates in Department & Community events and always does so with a positive attitude and a smile.

Officer Loris sets an example for others to follow and has earned the confidence and trust of his supervisors. His hard work and dedication reflect great credit upon himself, our profession and the Fairfield Police Department. As a result, he is most deserving of the Officer of the Quarter award.

The Officer of the Quarter program is in place to recognize officers who understand, embrace, support, and further the Department’s mission to “Make Fairfield Safer”. Certain character traits have been identified as being critically important to carrying out our mission, including Attitude, Personality, Initiative, Fitness, Professional Appearance, and Job Proficiency.
